The 2009 Ducati Monster 1100

IN JAN THIS YEAR, DUCATI ANNOUNCED the launch of 10 new motorcycles by 2010. among with them,three bikes will be launch in 2009. while the hyperfighter up to matter of speculation, the Monster 1100 is a definite new plus to Ducati;s 2009 exclusive.

Cosmetically, the new Monster 1100 look identically tow 696 variant of the street bike but under its trellis frame,it wil house the 1100 DS engine form ducati hyper Motored.
to keep environment safety the Italian Makers has used the meaty twin-muffler exhaust system as little different in compare of 696.the most striking divergence form the 696's Design, of it the singled sided swingram unit.




CHASSIS AND TANK

The hybrid trellis frame offer the required rigidity to the new Monster for optimum handling . IT IS CONSTRUCTED USING LARGER DIAMETER tubes inspired by Ducati's MotoGP machine. The tank feature removal outer panels which allow the easy color swaps to match the owner's taste or mood


ENGINE AND EXHAUST SYSTEM

The new Monster's power plant come in the form of a 1078cc unit which does duty in the Hypermotor 1100. The Twin engine will give the 'og MOnster 95ps fo power and 103Nm of torque. The exhaust system is cosmetically similar to the 6g6's,however, it is recalculated for the large engine



REAR SUSPENSION ELEMENTS AND WHEEL

The light Y-spoke alloy wheel will house a 1809/55-ZR17 Tyre of offer optimum grip on tarmac. The wheel is mated to a single-sided swingarm developed by Ducati Corse. The Monster 1100 will use a 245mm single disc rotor, with tow-piston brembo calipers.


FRONT SUSPENSION ELEMENT AND WHEEL

Providing front end suspension damping are 43mm inverted forks form show a mated to the light weight Y-spoke alloy.
The Tyre size remain similar to the Monster series at 120/55-ZR17.the bike feature two 320mm disc with four piston calipers from Brembo.
